What's new

Coetio is built by a student and updated often — here's what's changed.

July 2026

v1.7

Teal, checklists, and meeting agendas

  • New look: the green accent is now teal, everywhere from buttons to the calendar.
  • Events can carry a real planning checklist — before, during, and after sections, items assigned to specific people with due dates and reminders — and you can save a checklist as a template so next year's bake sale starts half-planned.
  • Give an event a budget and log what it actually cost; those entries show up on the money page too.
  • Print a ready-made poster for any event — big date and time, location, and your club's join QR.
  • If you schedule an event on top of another one, you'll get a warning before you save.
  • Meetings: build an agenda ahead of time, check items off as you go, and turn the result into minutes without retyping anything.
  • Owners can set an attendance bar for good standing — members who fall below it are flagged on the roster.
  • Pair a new member with a buddy who helps them settle in.
  • Printable attendance certificates for members who showed up.
  • We pressed every button in the app and fixed the ones that could fail silently — if something doesn't work, you'll now see a message saying why.

v1.6

Feed that clears itself, and leader visibility

  • Things you've already handled — RSVP'd, claimed a slot, finished a task, acknowledged a post — grey out and drop below what still needs you. Announcements get a "Got it" button.
  • Event cards are color-coordinated to their club: the calendar date and category tag now match the club's color (Student Council in magenta, etc.), and every card shows which club it's from.
  • Leaders can see who hasn't responded to an event and who hasn't signed up for a sheet — the flip side of the who's-going and claimed lists.
  • When you change an event's room or time, you can post an announcement about the change in one click.

July 2026

v1.5

A smarter dashboard feed

  • Every card on your dashboard now shows which club it's from, how long ago it was posted, and a deadline when there is one.
  • Overdue tasks, events starting soon, and leader-flagged important announcements get an urgent highlight so they're impossible to miss.
  • A colored bar across the top of each card matches that club's color.
  • New: a "Mark all as read" button, a dot on anything new since you last checked, dismiss and snooze on individual cards, and a "group by club" view for anyone in more than one club.
  • Leaders can flag an announcement as important — it sorts to the top of members' feeds with a red highlight.

July 2026

v1.4

A whole new toolkit

  • Announcements got a real publishing workflow: drafts, a scheduled-posts hub, saved templates, a live preview, headings/bullets/italics, an optional PDF attachment, and pins that can expire on their own.
  • Tag people in a post with @name, or link straight to an event or sign-up sheet with #title — mentioned members get a notification.
  • Leaders can see exactly who's viewed an announcement (names, not just a count) and approve member replies before they're visible.
  • A club health card for owners: attendance trend, member growth, and who's gone quiet.
  • Involvement records: a printable, verifiable summary of a member's attendance, events, tasks, and approved volunteer hours — the thing you hand a college application.
  • Volunteer hour logging and approval, service-hours totals, and a points & leaderboard option owners can turn on.
  • Recurring events are now real series — edit or cancel "this and future" occurrences in one move, plus biweekly and monthly repeats.
  • Permission slips (acknowledge before attending), post-event ratings, and one-tap Going/Can't RSVP right from the notification.
  • Attendance grew a kiosk "tap your name" option with a PIN (no phone needed), bulk check-in, a check-in question of the day, and offline check-in that syncs once you're back online.
  • Email invites that pre-approve someone the moment they join, paste-a-roster with a preview before you commit, and a 7-day grace period when you regenerate your join code.
  • New for members: an opt-in directory, a suggestion box that's truly anonymous, a club anniversary card, and a handoff journal leaders can leave for whoever comes next.
  • New public pages: a hallway TV display for a club, a per-school page listing every club there, category filters on Find Clubs, and event photo albums.
  • Search everything with ⌘K, plus a quick-add button for a new event, announcement, or task from anywhere.
  • A weekly "this week in your clubs" reminder, and a new-club review queue for the site admin.

July 2026

v1.3

The big summer update

  • A month-grid calendar view with big, readable dates — plus color-coded event categories and a tap-a-day week strip on phones.
  • Tasks can now be a drag-and-drop board: To do, In progress, Done.
  • Attendance heatmap for leaders, a live check-in counter for kiosk screens, and streak celebrations when you scan in. 🔥
  • Roster card view with avatars, grade breakdowns, and custom fields your club defines.
  • Money page shows your balance up front with a monthly income/spending chart.
  • Clubs are customizable: turn features on or off, pick what your public page shows, add your own event categories, write a welcome message for new members, and even change your club's web address.
  • Your club's color now styles its public page.
  • Sign-up sheets show how full they are; notifications are grouped by day; announcements support bold text and links, and deleting one gives you an Undo.
  • Dozens of fixes behind the scenes, including stronger sign-in protections and a trash that truly empties after 30 days.

July 2026

v1.2

Event menus & mobile polish

  • Event actions are now organized into one tidy menu, with a confirmation step before anything gets deleted.
  • Navigation links that work properly on phones.
  • Smoothed out the event sign-up flow.
  • Clearer page titles, so browser tabs and shared links say where they actually go.
