An organization gets suspended when someone reports it and we need to take a closer look, or when it may have broken our terms. Suspension is temporary while the review is open.
While an organization is suspended:
- Its public page stops accepting new people from outside the organization.
- Nobody new can join or apply, by invite link or by request.
- Announcements, events, minutes, tasks, the roster, leadership titles, service hours, money, signup sheets, documents, photos and the trash are frozen exactly as they are. Nothing there can be added, edited or deleted.
- Check-in is closed, for people in the organization and for guests.
- Nothing is sent: no reminders, no billing emails, no notifications from the organization.
- Data downloads (backups, CSV exports and minutes) are paused.
- People and leaders can still sign in and read everything already there.
What still works:
- Anyone can leave the organization, and anyone following it can unfollow. Being under review does not trap you in it.
- Everything to do with your own account keeps working: your profile, your notification settings, muting the organization, and downloading your own data.
- The owner can still reach Settings, transfer the organization, or delete it.
- The owner can send the appeal below.
Nothing is deleted. If the review clears the organization, everything comes back exactly as it was. Questions? Email support@coetio.com.
